Higher Production & Power Generation bolster IMFA’s Q2 FY16 results

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India’s leading fully integrated producer of value added ferro chrome, today announced Q2 & H1 FY16 results for the period ended September 30th, 2015

Highlights of Q2 FY16 vs Q2 FY15
• Revenue of Rs 338 crores vs Rs 348 crores
• Exports of Rs 318 crores vs Rs 281 crores
• Net Profit of Rs 5.12 crores vs Rs 0.57 crores

Highlights of H1 FY16 vs H1 FY15
• Revenue of Rs 678 crores vs Rs 649 crores
• Exports of Rs 617 crores vs Rs 507 crores
• Rs 119 crores EBIDTA (before exceptional items) vs Rs 130 crores

Operational Highlights for Q2
• Ferro Chrome production of 59,701 tonnes; higher by 67% as compared to corresponding quarter.
• Power generation of 268 million units; higher by 61% as compared to corresponding quarter.

Commenting on the results Mr Subhrakant Panda, MD & CEO, IMFA said: “We have performed creditably in a tough environment for commodities by maximising output and bringing down raw material costs as well as interest outgo even as we provided for certain exceptional items. While the short term outlook remains difficult, we believe a gradual recovery is imminent.”
