IMFA reports higher output, stable topline in Q1 FY15

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India’s leading fully integrated producer of value-added ferro chrome, today announced results for the period ended June 30th, 2014.

Highlights of Q1 FY15 vs Q1 FY14
• Revenue of Rs 301.3 crores vs Rs 306.9 crores
• Exports of Rs 226.6 crores vs Rs 248.1 crores
• EBIDTA of Rs 64.2 crores vs Rs 80.5 crores

Operational Highlights
• Ferro chrome production increased 12% year-on-year to 51,704 tonnes
• Power generation of 243 million units, up 16% year-on-year
• Both units of the 120 MW captive power plant tested at full load and stable operational parameters achieved

Commenting on the results Mr Subhrakant Panda, Managing Director & CEO, IMFA said: “We are currently in a very challenging environment with lower ferro chrome realisations and cost pressures negating higher production and sales resulting in sub-optimal results. Our fully integrated business model is fairly resilient and with China coming out of a dip besides better economic environment domestically, we expect things to improve going ahead.”
