BIPF announces Prof Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for 2013

Bansidahr & Ila Panda Foundation, a CSR wing of IMFA announces the 9th edition of “Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education” to two meritorious students for pursuing their engineering degree.

Instituted in 2005, this scholarship is given to four meritorious students of Odisha every year, two for wards of IMFA employees and two for wards of financial weaker section of society other than IMFA employees, qualifying for professional courses like Medical and Engineering degrees. This year no one got qualified from IMFA employee category.

Under non-employee category, Mr Dibyajyoti Behera, son of Late Sudhansu Behera and Mrs Santilata Behera resident of Balipatna, PO: Badas, Dist: Puri and Ms Gayatri Mallick, daughter of Mr Gurobana Mallick & Mrs Rajani Mallick resident of Gudrigam, PO: Linepada, Dist: Kandhamal are selected to receive the scholarship. Mr Behera got addmitted in B.Tech. (Civil Engg) at NIT, Rourkela, while Ms Gayatri Mallick got admitted B.Tech. (Civil Engg) at Parala maharaja Engg. College, Berhampur. Each of the selected candidates will 90 per cent of admission fees, tuition fees and hostel expenditure up to Rs.75,000/- per annum.

Late Professor Ghanashyam Dash (1902-1959) was a historian of international repute who was associated with several educational institutions in Odisha after graduating from London University. He is the father of late Mrs Ila Panda, Founder-Director of IMFA Group.
