BIPF donates ambulance to Choudwar Circle Jail

Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation, the newly formed CSR wing of IMFA has donated an ambulance to Choudwar Circle Jail here. A function was organised at Choudwar Circle Jail compound yesterday evening where Sanjeev Das, Vice President (Corporate Affairs) of IMFA handed over the ceremonial key of the ambulance to P B Acharya, IG (Prisons), Odisha.

IG Mr Acharya praising this noble step taken by BIPF said, one ambulance for 700 inmates, though look a very small step, but it will immensely help the jail authorities in taking care of the health needs of inmates. All the convicts in different jails in Odisha who are referred to SCB Medical College are brought to Choudwar Jail and are taken to the hospital from here. Earlier we used to face a lot of trouble in commuting them to Cuttack but now it will be a lot easier and safer. IMFA Vice President (Corporate Affairs) Sanjeev Das said it was a great opportunity to serve the society and BIPF was committed to avail every such opportunity count. IMFA and BIPF will always be on the lookout and ready to contribute for the welfare of the society, he said.

DCP Cuttack S Pravin Kumar, DIG Prisons of Cuttack Zone Dhananjay Hembrum spoke and praised IMFA for this noble deed. Among others Choudwar Jail Superintendent K B Nayak, Jailer Subhakanta Mishra, CSR Manager of IMFA Dillip Das attended.
