Awarded "Outstanding Supplier of the Year 2007" for reliable supply of ferro chrome

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India's largest producer of ferro alloys, has been recognised as "Outstanding Supplier of the Year 2007" by Posco for the reliable supply of ferro chrome. At a function held at Posco Centre in Seoul on 09th January Mr Joon-Yang Chung, President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Posco, handed over a plaque to Mr Subhrakant Panda, Managing Director of IMFA. Similar awards in other categories were also handed out by Posco at a New Year Reception 2008 held in the Steel Club at Posco Centre where IMFA was the only Indian supplier to be felicitated.

IMFA first supplied ferro chrome on spot basis to Posco starting in 1998 and subsequently entered into a long term agreement in 2000. Presently, IMFA is one of the leading suppliers of ferro chrome to Posco and meets about 20% of their requirement.
