Utkal Coal donates ambulance
Mega health camp organized at Raijharan

Utkal Coal Ltd (UCL), a constituent of IMFA Group which is India's largest producer of ferro alloys, has donated an ambulance to the Govt Hospital at Angul besides organizing a mega health camp at Raijharan village as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

At a brief function held in Angul today Mr Jayant Misra, Director (Corporate), handed over the ceremonial key of the ambulance to Mr S N Girish, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate, Angul. Dr Prafulla Kumar Sahoo, CDMO, and other senior officials were present on the occasion besides representatives of IMFA Group.

Later a mega health camp organized by UCL was inaugurated by Mr Girish wherein doctors from various disciplines attended to several hundred patients and also distributed free medicines. An awareness campaign on HIV / AIDS was also organized on the occasion. Mr Girish commended IMFA Group for the various CSR activities organized over the past several months aimed at the rehabilitation of poor & needy families and also expressed happiness at the donation of the much needed ambulance.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Jayant Misra said: "At IMFA Group we attach utmost importance to CSR activities and, like at our other sites, we intend to extend the scope beyond the immediate vicinity. Today's health camp was just the beginning and we plan to undertake more such initiatives in the future on a continuing basis."
