IMFA announces scholarship recipients

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India's largest and only "fully integrated" producer of ferro alloys, today announced the recipients of the 3rd edition of the "Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education" which was instituted in 2005 for meritorious children of its employees..

Raghul Ravindran and Prashanta Chihnara were selected after a rigorous selection process and will each be eligible to receive Rs 50,000 per annum for the entire duration of the course towards admission / course fees, hostel charges and other expenses.

Raghul (son of K P R Nair who is employed at IMFA Therubali as an Assistant) was ranked 320th in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and has secured admission in the National Institute of Technology, Calicut where he will pursue a B.Tech (Civil) degree. Prashanta (son of Surendra Chihnara who is employed at IMFA Choudwar as a Stenographer) will pursue an MBBS degree at the MKCG College, Berhampur after having stood 311th in the Joint Entrance Examination of Odisha.

Late Professor Ghanashyam Dash (1902 – 1959) was a historian of international repute who was associated with several educational institutions in Odisha after graduating from London University. He is the father of Late Mrs Ila Panda, Founder-Director of IMFA Group.
