IMFA announces recipient of scholarship

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India's largest producer of ferro alloys, today announced that Akash Kumar Pradhan will be the second recipient of the "Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education" which was instituted last year to encourage & facilitate meritorious children of IMFA employees to pursue higher studies. The scholarship covers both academic and hostel fees up to Rs 50,000 per annum for the entire duration of the course.

Akash is the son of Shri Ashok Kumar Pradhan who is employed at IMFA Therubali as Senior Inspector (Security). He stood 275th in the State in All India Engineering Entrance Examination and has secured admission at the Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat where he will pursue a degree in B.Tech (Electronics).

 

Late Professor Ghanashyam Dash (1902 – 1959) was a historian of international repute who was associated with several prestigious educational institutions of Odisha after graduating from London University. He was the father of Late Mrs Ila Panda, Founder-Director of IMFA Group.
