ICCL is now OHSAS 18001 certified
World Class Occupational Health & Safety measures in place

Indian Charge Chrome Ltd (ICCL), a constituent of IMFA Group which is India's largest producer of ferro alloys, today announced that its integrated ferro alloys complex at Choudwar (Odisha) has been recommended for OHSAS 18001 certification. This signifies that the complex comprising of a 48 MVA charge chrome plant and 108 MW thermal power plant has implemented world class Occupational Health and Safety measures which will enable it to control occupational health & safety hazards effectively and to eliminate / minimise associated risks to employees & stakeholders consistently.

IRQS, a leading certification agency based in Mumbai, conducted a rigorous audit in January 2006 following which it has recommended the OHSAS 18001 certification.

IMFA Group already has unique multi-product & multi-location ISO 9001 quality certification while the 108 MW power plant & 48 MVA charge chrome plant at Choudwar and the Nuasahi & Sukinda Chromite Mines are also ISO 14001 certified. OHSAS 18001 is a world class specification issued by British Standards Institute which enhances productivity through a safe working place.
