IMFA Group institutes "Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education"

IMFA Group, India's largest producer of ferro alloys, today announced that it has instituted the "Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education" to encourage & facilitate meritorious children of its employees to pursue higher studies. The scholarship covers both academic & accommodation fees up to Rs 50,000 per annum for the entire duration of the course.

Samir Kumar Mishra, son of Pratap Chandra Mishra who is employed at IMFA Therubali as Asst Foreman (Quality Control), has been chosen as the first recipient of this scholarship. He secured 97% marks in +2 Science and has got admission at the University College of Engineering, Burla where he will pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.

Professor Ghanashyam Dash (1902 – 1959), father of Late Mrs Ila Panda who was a Founder-Director of IMFA Group, was a historian of international repute. After graduating from London University he taught at the prestigious Ravenshaw College before going on to become Principal of Gangadhar Meher College, Sambalpur and later Fakir Mohan College, Balasore.
