Indian Charge Chrome Ltd (ICCL) today announced that Subhrakant Panda has been appointed as Managing Director of the Company for a period of 3 years with effect from April 30th, 2005 following a decision to this effect taken at the last Board Meeting. Dr B Panda, hitherto Chairman & Managing Director, will continue to provide valuable input as the Company's Executive Chairman.

Subhrakant Panda, 34, has been the Joint Managing Director of ICCL since March 2000 and was instrumental in turning around the fortunes of the Company. During this period the revenues of the Company grew 250% to Rs 316.35 crores in FY 2004-05 and a debt restructuring proposal was successfully implemented.

Mr Panda has graduated with honours summa cum laude from the School of Management at Boston University with a dual concentration in Finance and Operations Management. He has received various awards and honours in recognition of his outstanding scholastic achievements including an unprecedented 3.95 cumulative grade point average (GPA) out of a possible 4.0. These include being named to the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society for Collegiate Schools of Business, Golden Key National Honour Society and Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges (1993 edition). He was also awarded the CBA Class of 1924 Scholarship for the year 1992-93.
