IMFA Group scales new heights in FY 2004-05
Turnover crosses Rs 600 crores

IMFA Group, India's largest producer of ferro alloys comprising of Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA) and Indian Charge Chrome Ltd (ICCL), today announced that it had registered a record performance in the Financial Year 2004-05 with turnover crossing Rs 600 crores and ferro chrome output & exports reaching an all time high.

IMFA Group's ferro chrome output for the financial year ending March 31st, 2005 was 1,05,211 tonnes (2.6% increase over the previous year) while chrome ore raising was 2,52,189 tonnes (38.16% increase). Meanwhile, ferro chrome exports registered an all time high of 77,746 tonnes (36.84% increase) garnering a record US$ 56.917 million of foreign exchange earnings. Ferro Silicon production at IMFA Therubali was 36,455 tonnes (1.36% increase) while the Captive Power Plant at ICCL Choudwar generated 825.64 million units (2.18% increase) averaging 94% PLF.

Subhrakant Panda, Joint Managing Director, said : "2004-05 has been a record year for IMFA Group on the strength of excellent operations coupled with firm markets.
