ICCL's Charge Chrome Plant gets ISO 14001 certification
Completes environment certification across the value chain

Indian Charge Chrome Ltd (ICCL), a constituent of IMFA Group which is the country's largest producer of ferro alloys, today announced that it's Charge Chrome Plant located at Choudwar, Odisha has been awarded the prestigious ISO 14001 certification signifying the presence of a proper environmental management system.

IRQS, a leading certification agency based in Mumbai, conducted a rigorous audit in July 2004 following which it recommended the ISO 14001 certification. IMFA Group has unique multi-product & multi-location ISO 9000 quality certification while the 108 MW power plant at Choudwar and more recently the Nuasahi Chromite Mines are also ISO 14001 certified. Thus, with the certification of the Charge Chrome Plant the whole value chain has been covered making it a unique achievement.

Commenting on the development Mr Subhrakant Panda, Joint Managing Director said : "We take great pride in the fact that with respect to our operations the entire value chain is now certified to exacting environment standards. At IMFA Group it has always been our aim to have sustainable, environment friendly operations so this is a very significant achievement for us".
