T C Hota new President of UCCI

Mr Trijib Chandra Hota, Vice President (Corporate Affairs) of IMFA Group, has taken over as the President of Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (UCCI) for the year 2003-04. He was elected unopposed at the AGM held on September 27th, 2003 at the Chamber's registered office in Cuttack.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Hota said : "Although a change of guard in such an old & established organisation will not lead to a paradigm shift in philosophy, it will certainly bring freshness to the existing collective wisdom". He added that the "Chamber was looking to surge further ahead".

Utkal Chamber of Commerce & Industry has been in existence for 40 years and its 224 members come from various sectors such as industry, trade, commerce and even individual professionals. UCCI's broad objective is to promote and protect the interests of the above sectors and towards this it has a presence in various policy making bodies of the Government of Odisha.
