Indian Charge Chrome Ltd (ICCL), a constituent of the IMFA Group which is India's largest producer of ferro alloys, today announced that in the month of January it has achieved new operational records at both its units in the Choudwar complex. While the Charge Chrome Plant recorded an all time high production of 6242 mt representing 120% capacity utilization the Captive Power Plant generated 76.548 million units representing 103% plant load factor (PLF) during the month.

Meanwhile, after a rigorous external audit, the 108 MW Captive Power Plant has also been recommended for ISO 14001 certification indicating that an effective Environment Management System is in place. Both the Charge Chrome Plant and Captive Power Plant are already certified to ISO 9001 quality standards.

Commenting on the developments Mr Subhrakant Panda, Joint Managing Director, said : "ICCL has been on the revival path ever since we obtained captive chrome ore mines some time back. After literally being held back on a leash we are only now realizing our true potential as India's largest, fully integrated producer of ferro alloys and a leading player globally. The latest records are the result of strong team spirit and a determination to make up for lost time." He added that "our strong commitment to the environment is reflected in the ISO 14001 certification of the power plant."
