IMFA Group's ferro chrome production crosses 50,000 mt
CPP performance enables high furnace capacity utilisation

IMFA Group, India's largest producer of ferro alloys, today announced that during the period April-October 2002 production of ferro chrome at its manufacturing units in Therubali & Choudwar, Odisha has reached an all time high of 50,452 mt. During these 7 months the Group's Captive Power Plant (CPP) maintained 99% Plant Load Factor (PLF) by generating 485 million units thus enabling high furnace capacity utilisation.

Commenting on the milestone Mr Subhrakant Panda, Joint Managing Director, said : "We are on track to achieve our production target of 90,000 mt ferro chrome during the financial year 2002-03 of which about 50,000 mt will be exported. This has been made possible by the dedication of every team member and our unique position as India's only fully integrated producer".
