IMFA operates six furnaces adding up to 190 MVA and an annual production capacity of 284,000 tonnes at three sites in Orissa, India. Two of these sites are fully functioning townships with all the facilities on the ground. The third facility is coming up in Kalinga Nagar and phase 1 is expected to be completed by 2026.

We take pride in several pioneering achievements, including being the first private sector company in India to produce ferro silicon and the first in the Indian subcontinent to produce silicon metal using indigenous technology. Today, our focus is predominantly on the production of value-added ferro chrome.

Smelting

Therubali

Located within Rayagada district in Orissa's South-Western extremity the flagship of IMFA, Therubali is recognised within the state as its first home-grown industrial entity. Over the years the company has grown to become the largest Ferro Alloys complex in India with three furnaces totaling 82 MVA capacity, able to rub shoulders with the best in the business worldwide by dint of its size and technological capabilities.

Our manufacturing ecosystem is fully integrated where captive ore and power meet the requirement of the smelters making IMFA a highly reliable and competitive producer of ferro chrome.
