Responsible Future-Building

Sustainable Growth Goals
Carbon-neutral operations by 2050
Water-positive status by 2030
Sustainability is a central business focus at IMFA, driving all our business decisions.
Focus Areas
Occupational Health and Safety
We accord the highest priority to safety in all our operations, and promote well-being of employees. IMFA provides comprehensive safety training to all employees, and conducts regular safety audits and inspections to mitigate potential hazards. We also invest in modern equipment and technology to enhance safety and maintain a safe working environment.
Green Energy Transition
IMFA’s Low Density Aggregate (LDA) is a fly ash-based aggregate, offering a reliable alternative to natural coarse aggregate and natural stone chips in concrete. Made from over 95% fly ash, our LDA is a lighter, eco-friendly alternative to traditional stone chips in concrete, helping reduce structure weight without compromising strength.
Waste Management
From Fly Ash to Sustainable Buidling Materials:IMFA recycles fly ash into Low-Density Aggregate (LDA) and Fly Ash Bricks, a sustainable alternative for concrete and brick used for construction. Our focus is on minimising waste generation and maximising recycling and reuse, contributing to the circular economy.
Water Management
Our approach to water resource management is comprehensive. We prioritise water conservation through various initiatives, including the recycling of process water and the treatment of effluents to meet government standards. By optimizing water usage and ensuring the highest levels of water quality, we contribute to the sustainable use of this vital resource.
We are dedicated to becoming a water-positive company by 2030, which means that we will not only reduce our water consumption but also ensure that we replenish more water than we use, contributing to the sustainability of water resources in the regions we operate.
Community Impact
IMFA, through the Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF), is engaged with the local communities enriching the people’s lives.
Impact
Over 180,000 lives transformed across multiple sectors, more than 70% of which are from underprivileged backgrounds.
