Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education
Prof Ghanashyam Dash (1902 - 1959), father of Late Mrs Ila Panda, was a scholar and historian of international repute. After graduating from London University he was associated with several educational institutions in Odisha including Ravenshaw College as a Professor and Gangadhar Meher College & Fakir Mohan College as Principal.
The scholarship has been instituted by IMFA in memory of Prof Dash to facilitate higher education in the field of Engineering, Medicine and Liberal Arts. Six (6) scholarships are awarded - two (2) for the children of permanent employees of the Company and four (4) for the meritorious students from economically disadvantaged families who are permanently domiciled in Odisha. The scholarship covers 90% of academic fees and related expenses for the entire duration of the course with an annual limit of Rs 1,00,000 per recipient.
