IMPaCT (Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust)
The Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), founded in 1974 by Dr. Bansidhar Panda and his wife Mrs. Ila Panda, has been instrumental in promoting art, culture, and sports in Odisha.
Sarala Puraskar
Instituted in 1980 with the objective of recognising outstanding literary work in Odia, it is today considered the premier recognition for an Odia writer. Besides this, since 2015 IMPaCT has instituted the ‘Ila-Bansidhar Panda Kala Samman’ to felicitate musicians and artists of Odisha.
Ekalabya Puraskar
Instituted in 1993 to encourage budding Odia sportspersons and like its literary counterpart, this award too is considered the ultimate recognition in the field of sports. It carries an award of Rs. 700,000 for the Winner and Rs. 150,000 each for two sportspersons honoured with Citations.
The recipients have truly done the State & Country proud.
