Award for IMFA's Captive Power Plant

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd (IMFA), India's largest and only "fully integrated" producer of ferro alloys, today announced that its 108 MW coal-based Captive Power Plant at Choudwar has been recognised by the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) for making appreciable efforts to implement pollution control measures.

At a function held at Bhubaneswar on 14th September 2007 to celebrate the 24th Foundation Day of the OSPCB, Mr H S Chahar, Principal Secretary, Environment & Forests, Govt of Odisha, presented the Pollution Control Appreciation Award - 2007 to Mr B D Sahoo, Senior Vice President (Operations), of IMFA Choudwar.

The 108 MW Captive Power Plant at Choudwar, Odisha has ISO 9001 quality management certification, ISO 14001 environment management certification and OHSAS 18001 occupational health & safety certification.
