Restructuring of senior management positions
Changes to consolidate and streamline operating structure

With a view to further consolidate and streamline its operating structure, IMFA Group has announced the restructuring of several senior management positions as follows.

Mr Jayant Misra has been redesignated Senior Vice President (Corporate) in charge of IMFA Group's Commercial and Corporate Affairs Divisions with effect from December 1st, 2001. He will henceforth supervise several important areas of the Group's operations viz. International Trade, Sales & Distribution and Purchase under Commercial Division and Corporate Affairs, Public Relations and Law under Corporate Affairs Division. Mr T C Hota, Vice President (Corporate Affairs), continues to be in charge of the day to day functioning of the Corporate Affairs Division.

Mr G Kalyanasundaram has been redesignated General Manager (Finance) & Company Secretary with effect from December 1st, 2001. He takes on the additional responsibility of Company Secretary consequent to the deputation of Mr H Vidyasankar to Group company Utkal Coal Ltd.

Mr C R Ray is to be promoted as Vice President (Operations & Engineering) with effect from January 1st, 2002. In addition to overseeing the Group's ferro alloys operations he will also coordinate the power plant and mining operations. Furthermore, he will continue to be responsible for new project and process initiatives.

Mr P C Das is to be promoted as General Manager (Law) with effect from January 1st, 2002.
