Anuradha Biswal bags 8th Ekalabya Puraskar

The prestigious EKALABYA PURASKAR is bagged by Ms. Anuradha Biswal, the upcoming young Athlete of the state, as per the decision of Sports Award Committee of Indian Metals Public Charitable Trust (IMPaCT), managed by IMFA Group of Companies. She gets a cash prize of Rs 30,000/- and a memento for this. Keeping in view her outstanding performance in the field of Athletics for the last two years ending 31st March, 2000 (i.e. April 1998 to March 2000) Anuradha has been selected for the award. Besides Anuradha, Ms Agnecia Lugun and Sri Rajesh Hasdak will also be conferred with Citations for their remarkable contribution in Hockey and Archery respectively.

It would be worth mentioning here that the Trust managed by IMFA Group of Companies plays a leading role in undertaking various social welfare measures in the State. The Trust through its "Sarala Award" strives for literary enrichment, by setting up a Recreation Centre at Sahidnagar, Bhubaneswar and by continuously promoting education and health services. Similarly introduction of Ekalabya Puraskar by the Trust since 1993 towards encouragement and betterment of Sports in the State, is certainly praiseworthy.
